After announced back in January, the DROID BIONIC has been back to Motorola’s lab for a redesign and hardware enhancement. Now, the phone is released and is available from Verizon Wireless for $299.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. The Android smartphone supports Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE mobile network.

The DROID BIONIC is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS. It sports a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass with dual-layer anti-reflective coating, a 8 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash and 1080p video recording, a front-facing camera for video chat, HDMI output, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. It has 16GB onboard storage and comes with 16GB microSD card pre-installed.

The Motorola DROID BIONIC includes MOTOPRINT app to print via WiFi-enabled printers and is pre-loaded with Adobe Flash player. It is Business Ready with advanced security policies; resizable and scrollable email, calendar and task widgets; device and SD card encryption; and Citrix GotoMeeting and Citrix Receiver for Android. Like the Atrix 4G, the new BIONIC includes the Webtop application, allowing it to beam a full-featured Firefox Web browser 4.0, email or documents to a TV or monitor, like the separately purchased Lapdock with a 11.6″ screen, keyboard and integrated trackpad.
