Interactive Education Projectors - BenQ is launching two new interactive short-throw projectors, the MW860USTi and MP780 ST+ with 2nd generation PointDraw technology for classrooms. With PointDraw, teachers can teach from anywhere in the classroom and the 2nd generation PointDraw interactive technology comes with new PointDraw Pen 2.0 featuring a faster response time to support remote interactivity up to 25 feet away from the board or projected surface. The new QDraw 2.0 interactive software enables endless collaboration through simultaneous teacher-student interaction.

Based on DLP display technology, the MW860USTi and MP780 ST+ both deliver 1280×800 WXGA resolution. The former has 3000 ANSI lumens brightness, 2600:1 contrast ratio and a short throw ratio of 0.37, and the latte, follow-up to the MP780 ST, features 2500 ANSI lumens brightness, 3000:1 contrast and 0.48 throw ratio. Both projectors have built-in 10Wx2 speakers and there are microphone input for connecting microphone or headset for increased ease of teaching and learning.


BenQ’s new education projectors support LAN Display and USB Display for quick and easy setup and simultaneous multi-projection display. They are also capable of PC-free teaching with USB Drive Display supporting JPEG, JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF files. Support for Remote Desktop also allows teachers to access files stored in their computer with a wireless mouse and keyboard via LAN connection.

The BenQ MW860USTi and MP780 ST+ are 3D Ready with support for DLP Link 3D Projection. They have HDMI 1.3, D0sub, Composite, S-video inputs, and two USB Type A, one USB Type B, one USB Mini Type B, LAN port and a RS232 DB-9pin connections.

BenQ MW860USTi and MP780 ST+ interactive education projectors are available for $2,499 and $2,099 respectively.
