Nikon brings a new entry-level DSLR camera, the D3200 joining the D3100. While the D3100 packs 14.2 Megapixel sensor and ISO 100-3200, the new D3200 is equipped with a 24.2 Megapixel Nikon DX-format CMOS image sensor, and supports ISO 100-6200 and a Hi 1 setting equivalent to ISO 12800. It also sports EXPEED 3 image processing engine with “high performance that enables faithful rendering, vivid color reproduction, and expression of a broad dynamic range.”

Designed for new DSLR users, the D3200 includes the Guide Mode for users to learn the camera’s key features and controls while you shoot, and even get advice and sample images. There are also 6 scene modes, such as Portrait, Night Portrait, Landscape, Close up; and Scene Auto Selector with Scene Recognition System that make shooting easier. The compact, and lightweight DSLR features a 11-point auto-focusing system for fast and accurate shooting, and Full-time-servo AF (AF-F), a focus mode with which the camera focuses continuously to keep moving subjects in focus with movie recording. It supports Full HD 1080p video recording at 24 or 30fps and provides HDMI output for showing HD content on HDTV.

The D3200 comes with a 3-inch high resolution 921,000-dot LCD screen. It is available with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR image stabilization lens as a kit set in black or red, which will be released in late-April for $699.95. Using the optional $59.95 WU-1a wireless mobile adapter, you can send images to your smartphone wirelessly and even use your smartphone to remotely capture images from your D3200.
